About the Journal

Aim and Objectives:
Bahria Journal of Professional Psychology BJPP (ISSN 1816-0840) is a peer – reviewed, biannual, multidisciplinary, international journal, published as the official publication journal of the Institute of Professional Psychology, Bahria University (IPP-BU). As a scientific journal publishing original research articles, reviews and case reports, BJPP aims to advance psychological science and professional practice through the dissemination of rigorous, ethical, and theoretically and empirically grounded research. The journal seeks to:
  • advance knowledge and understanding of psychological processes, human behaviour, mental health, and wellbeing;
  • promote evidence-based psychological practice and the application of psychological research to contemporary individual, organizational, communal, and societal challenges;
  • sustain internationally relevant research reflecting diverse cultural and contextual perspectives for the advancement of psychology as a science and profession.
It publishes original, high-quality research across Clinical, Social, Organizational, Developmental, Educational, Counselling, Health, Neuropsychology, Positive Psychology, and Theoretical domains of professional psychology. Authors are generally expected to relate their analysis as far as possible to the socio-cultural context of Pakistan in particular, and of the developing countries in general, which addresses region-specific psychological phenomena and challenges. BJPP also encourages critical discourse on professional psychology issues through comprehensive book reviews. This journal provides a platform for psychological practitioners and scholars alike to share research through peer-reviewed articles.
